Addiction: A Critical Review

Doing drugs and getting addicted can make you lose everything from family to your job to even yourself. As stated in the documentary Addiction, Zach Johnson lost his job, and his good friends. He lost stuff that he really couldn’t get back and that hurts a lot of younger people. My friend got addicted to pot and he failed high school because of it which made him have to retake two of his classes in order to get his diploma. Another friend of mine lost literally everything due to pot use. He lost all of his friends, his grades dropped, he lost a lot his family and, most importantly, he lost himself. He has no clue where to go now. He once aspired to go to Colorado School of Mines and now he’ll be lucky to get into Red Rocks. Most teenagers don’t believe that drugs affect you in a relevant way, but these three cases of people proves that you can lose so much from doing something that seems so harmless.
